Vendor Rules & Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in becoming a consignment vendor with Borderlands Co. Our goal is to create a curated, high-quality shopping experience that supports local Arizona makers and small businesses.

Please review all rules and guidelines carefully before applying.

🛍️ Vendor Eligibility

• Must be a local Arizona-based business

• All items must be handmade or hand-crafted

• No AI-generated art or products permitted

• Products must align with our shop aesthetic (boutique, spiritual, handmade, giftable items)

• We reserve the right to approve or deny any application based on product fit

🚫 Vendor Space Usage Policy

• Each vendor space (shelf or rack) is assigned to and intended for use by the approved vendor only

• Sharing, subletting, or splitting space with another business is not permitted unless previously approved in writing by Borderlands Market

• All items displayed must be:

  • Created, handmade, or assembled by the approved vendor

  • Consistent with the product types submitted in the application

• Vendors may not display or sell items on behalf of other businesses or individuals

📦 Space & Pricing Options

Shelf Rental Options:

• $60 per individual shelf (monthly)

• Full vertical unit (6 shelves):

  • $206.52 (first month promotional rate)

  • $180/month after first month

Deposit:

• A $30 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your space

  (used towards last months rent)

• $30 deposit goes into first month rent ($206.52) for those who choose the FULL Vertical 6 shelf unit.

📄 Contract Terms

• Initial commitment: 3-month minimum contract

• After the first 3 months:

  • Option to switch to month-to-month

  • OR sign a renewed 3-month contract at a discounted rate (if offered)

Failure to complete the 3-month term may result in forfeiting your space and deposit, Last payout/paycheck.

💳 Commission & Payments

• Sanctuary Co. will take a 12% commission on all sales

• Vendors will receive payouts: Once a month

• Vendors are responsible for tracking their inventory and restocking

🏷️ Product & Display Requirements

• All items must be:

  • Clearly labeled with price

  • Professionally presented and shelf-ready

• Vendors are responsible for:

  • Restocking inventory

  • Keeping their space clean and visually appealing

• No counterfeit, mass-produced, or resale items allowed

🚫 Prohibited Items

• AI-generated artwork

• Mass-produced or wholesale-only products

• Offensive, explicit, or unsafe items

• Items that infringe on trademarks or copyrights

🛠️ Store Rights & Responsibilities

• Borderlands Market reserves the right to:

  • Rearrange displays for merchandising purposes

  • Remove items that do not meet guidelines

  • Terminate vendor agreements if policies are violated

• We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items (though we will always do our best to maintain a safe space & protect your items!)

📸 Marketing & Promotion

• Vendors may be featured on our social media and marketing materials

• Vendors are encouraged to promote their products and drive traffic to the store
